Passive Water Sampler POCIS

POCIS (Polar Organic Chemical Integrative Sampler) is a type of passive water sampler consisting of two membranes secured by stainless steel support rings.

The sorbent is enclosed between the membranes and deployed in the aquatic environment for a predetermined period. Target compounds are continuously accumulated in the sorbent, enabling passive sampling (PS) to estimate the time-weighted average concentration of polar organic contaminants in water.

Features

Simple design consisting of a sorbent enclosed between two membranes and secured with stainless steel support rings.
Easy assembly using pre-perforated membranes and a dedicated assembly stand.
Enables passive sampling to determine the time-weighted average (TWA) concentration of polar organic compounds in aquatic environments.
Available with two membrane types: PES and PTFE.
- PES Membrane: Recommended for a wide range of applications, including the monitoring of general pesticides. It is typically used with sorbents such as HLB.
- PTFE Membrane: Designed for highly water-soluble compounds, including polar pesticides and 1,4-dioxane. It is typically used with sorbents such as activated carbon and GAIAC.
